“The Vegetarian (Changbi)” is a series of novels published in 2007 by the writer Han River, which gave the writer the Man Booker Prize. Vegetarianism is a work of violence. When the protagonist was bitten by a dog as a child, the memory of her father killing and eating the dog becomes trauma, which is the beginning of violence.
